Savitri bai Phule Govt Girls Polytechnic started in the session of 2001-2002 with the primary aim of giving technical education to girls so that they stand shoulder to shoulder with the boys in this era of information and knowledge and make India a developed country. The polytechnic is named after the first lady teacher of India “Savitri Bai Phule” who hailed from Maharashtra is another source of inspiration to the girls who study in this institution.
